Wynton writes soundtrack for Ken Burns’ The War
Wynton Marsalis and Ken Burns teamed up again. The War, Ken Burns’ series about the American experience in World War II, will be out in fall 2007, and Wynton wrote, arranged and performed the original soundtrack.

Wynton is preparing his fourth album for Blue Note
Wynton will go into the studio soon to record his fourth release for Blue Note. This time around Wynton will be recording an extended work still in progress entitled: From the Plantation to the Penitentiary.

Higher Ground benefit CD is in stores now
Today, Blue Note Records released Higher Ground, a CD that documents Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Higher Ground Hurricane Relief Benefit Concert, a landmark evening of musical offering that was mounted by Wynton on September 17, less than three weeks after Hurricane Katrina imparted its devastation upon the Gulf Coast.
