I get home exhausted Saturday night turned on WBGO and the radio of JALC was on. It sounded GREAT Ron Carter on bass what a swingin night. And the quality of the overal sound was like I have never heard a big band in a long time. Wynton my hanky is wavin’ in the air New Orleans style for you!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Thanks for the radio show! The feature during ‘intermission’ made the program complete, citing the the development of musical culture with the car industry, and the manner in which soul and blues influenced the city’s jazz and Motown. Michigan is a great music state!

  3. I just finished listening to the live simulcast. Wow! It must have been amazing to see the performances in person. Ron Carter performance on Willow Weep for Me and Sheila’s Song as excellent. Yusef Lateef Morning Trilogy was a beautifully executed song. Excellent presentation.
