Think Detroit music is Motown alone? You’ll change your tune after hearing bassist Ron Carter’s inventive take on the music of Milt Jackson, Kenny Burrell, and Barry Harris. Musical voyager Yusef Lateef, contributes two new works. Peerless Curtis Fuller, standard bearer of Charlie Parker’s music, Charles McPherson, and native son, master instructor, trumpeter Marcus Belgrave, drive the show home.
