Today, Wynton and his Quintet (Walter Blanding, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez, Ali Jackson) rehearsed together for the upcoming concert with Richard Galliano. Marciac 2008: photos from Master Class and Septet’s concert
On August 8, the Wynton Marsalis Septet performed for the concert at Marciac Jazz Festival, starting at 11 pm. Wynton, Wes Anderson, Marcus Roberts, Wycliffe Gordon, Reginald Veal and Victor Goines performed wonderfully on that night. The setlist was: Majesty of the Blues, Free to Be, And the Band Played On, Son, Spiritual Awakening, Green Chimneys, Superb Starling, Altar Call, Sunflowers.
