Does the Benny Carter song AGAIN AND AGAIN have a lyric, and, if so, any leads as to getting the sheet music?
Thanks

I agree with Brittany, Joe Temperley’s and Dan Nimmer’s rendition of The Single Petal of a Rose was moving.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to get a recording from the live performance?
Glenn Moody on Apr 12th, 2009 at 6:59pm
Do you mean the single petal of a rose w/ dan nimmer on piana and joe temperly on bass clarinet? They played that in Portland.

I was at the concert in New York, live on PBS. And i wanted to know the name of the song, the man played for his anniversary, on the bass clarinet? I thought that song was so beautiful.

Just proved that even dolts like you are still with us. Sorry you’re so narrow minded that you can’t enjoy true creative expression. But your pathetic rant proves to me that you’ll NEVER dig real creative expression and choose to hear this world through tiny little ears.

Wynton’s mastery of Jazz, centered by an Ericka von Closed dangling cherry trinkets, was like being forced to swing with Shaw ensemble performing in a VFW Hall or an audience in wheelchairs wearing hearing aids. At least he swung on nursery rhymes as his Achilles playmates and Cybils crying on a red planet over an empty pack of Lucky Strikes can relate to children’s tunes. “Let’s dance to that as Humpty Dumpty is coming up!” These players tripping over nursery notes forced me to award Wynton with my remote control signal, NEXT! Too creepy….

Erica Von Kliest was on Alto Sax and flute, not Tenor.

YES,YES!
That’s It …I wandered into the room
during the last bits.
It was familiar
yet I couldn’t remember
what it was.
It has been haunting
my brain every since
THANK YOU!

Did they play Ceora just before that one?

Wynton and the Orchestra played
before Again and Again?

Can anyone tell me the name of the woman tenor player, in the orchestra, in last night’s (3/26) broadcast of jazz at Lincoln Center. I don’t think she is , or at least was, a regular. She is amazing. Thx!

Just finished watching The Jazz Orchestra At Lincoln Center on PBS. WOW! One of the best.
Wynton, you’re an inspiration. Each and every musician is an artist in their own way.
Great arrangements and performances.
Next time I’m in New York, I have to take in one of these concerts.
S U P E R B!

Wow!! I was going to ask my cousins in savannah to record it for me but nevermind. This same thing happened when they said wynton would be on cnn.

It is not airing on any of the three PBS stations in georgia. We have never seen any of the Lincoln Center Programs. They do ait Elvis specials four or five times. Seem kind of bias to me. I have written them several times about this with no results. I guess I’ll have to come to New York to enjoy.

Very adequately expressed and written MGB.
Your words talk of
the music of masters
arranged for masters
and played by masters
Best.

Everyone say…..Epistrophe, Epistrophe, Epistrophe. Theolonius Monk tune. Arrangement by one of the fellas and the JLCO Tore IT UP!!! Driving rhythm section, clean horns, almost made me want to cry when I saw them a few weeks ago. With all the great tunes they play, it prob wont make the cut, but it should!!!!
GMB on Mar 9th, 2009 at 4:47pm
Great, looking forward to it!!
CJD on Mar 9th, 2009 at 10:56am
