Our hallmark event! High school bands across the U.S. and Canada audition to become one of 15 bands participating in the Essentially Ellington Festival. The top three, hand-picked by a panel of experts, join Wynton Marsalis and the LCJO to bring you the music of the Duke. To celebrate its 10th year, the concert coordinates with special Ellington events in Jazz for Young People, Jazz Talk and Jazz 101.
