There is nowhere like New York at Christmas time, which comes but once a year, and when it comes it always brings good cheer. For Jazz at Lincoln Center that means it’s time for another Red Hot Holiday Stomp, a taste of Christmas in New Orleans transplanted in New York.
This year our artistic director, the peerless trumpet master Wynton Marsalis, will be joined by his father Ellis Marsalis, longtime musical associate Wycliffe Gordon, Don Vappie, Roberta Gumble, and others in this joyous celebration of the Yuletide season.
