Marsalis on Music, trumpeter Wynton Marsalis’ groundbreaking audio/visual music education project from 1995, was produced by Sony Classical Film & Video, debuted in the US on PBS, and subsequently translated and shown around the world. The Peabody Award-winning program provides an excellent introduction to classical and jazz music, all in a fun and identifiable way. The video version is available in libraries, schools and rental clubs everywhere.

Jazz ABZ at Hamilton Community Theatre
The new Hamilton Community Theatre will present Jazz ABZ, a musical revue based on the book by Wynton Marsalis, April 2 and 9. The production is directed by Randy Forester. Musical direction is provided by Robert Crabtree who performs jazz keyboard and conducts the band.

Jazz ABZ wins the 2006 Bologna Ragazzi Special Award
Jazz ABZ, written by Wynton Marsalis and illustratred by Paul Rogers, is the Winner of the 2006 Bologna Ragazzi Special Award: Words and Music. This is a special section for books on music to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of W. A. Mozart, who lived in Bologna while studying at the Conservatoire.

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) with Wynton Marsalis will perform free events for people of all ages, including concerts, master classes, clinics, and workshops during a weeklong residency in New Orleans from April 17-23.
The residency is in conjunction with the state of Louisiana and in partnership with the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans. -
