Jazz at Lincoln Center Rings In The Holidays with Big Band Holidays 2022
Jazz at Lincoln Center spreads good cheer this holiday season as the world renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) featuring Dianne Reeves with Samara Joy perform Big Band Holidays throughout the U.S. The 10-city U.S. tour embarks in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on November 29.
The Big Band Holidays tour concludes with a five-date homecoming engagement at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Fredrick P. Rose Hall’s Rose Theater, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center (located on Broadway at 60th Street in New York City), on December 14–18, featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and guest vocalist Samara Joy, and music-direction by JLCO veteran Victor Goines.
The performance on Sunday, December 18 at 2pm, will be a Relaxed Performance, designed to provide an opportunity for children or adults with autism, learning difficulties, or other sensory and communication needs to enjoy our performances with their families in a more relaxed environment. “The holidays are a time for family and friends and celebrating and reflecting. Big Band Holidays represent the unity of generations and what the season is all about. It is the soulful sound of two of today’s most beautiful voices,” says Victor Goines.
