The renowned Jazz for Young People (J4YP) Concerts are based on Leonard Bernstein’s legendary “Young People’s Concerts” of the 1950’s and 60’s. Hosted by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, these hour-long narrated concerts use warmth and humor to introduce major jazz figures, key musical concepts and other jazz fundamentals. The J4YP Concerts spark curiosity and imagination through vivid conversation and lively performances that inspire audiences to dance in their seats.
