A free live broadcast of the 2022 SFJAZZ Gala Concert honoring Wynton Marsalis – a fundraiser for SFJAZZ’s artistic and education programs. Trumpeter Wynton Marsalis is an iconic figure in the evolution of the art form and a tireless advocate for jazz as America’s classical music. SFJAZZ honors Marsalis with a SFJAZZ Lifetime Achievement Award at its annual SFJAZZ Gala (the first since the pandemic) with a star-studded concert celebrating the trumpeter’s decorated career and immense body of work.
