Bill Cosby will be the master of ceremonies at a concert in honor of the saxophonist Jimmy Heath at Alice Tully Hall. Mr. Heath’s brothers, Percy Heath and Albert (Tootie) Heath, are scheduled to perform, along with other jazz luminaries like Jon Faddis, Tommy Flanagan, Curtis Fuller, Clark Terry, Benny Golson, Slide Hampton, Sir Roland Hanna and Wynton Marsalis.
The money raised will help establish a professorship in jazz studies named for Mr. Heath at Queens College, where he has taught since 1987. The 8 P.M. show will be followed by a reception with the performers.
