Davey Yarborough and The Washington Jazz Arts Institute (WJAI) is celebrating its 20th year of serving young musicians in the District of Columbia and beyond through its year-long free programs. Wynton Marsalis, a longtime friend of an Advisory Board member of the WJAI is our featured artist with his band, along with a performance by the exciting young musicians who attend our 2018 summer programs. It will be a special evening of jazz music and celebration at which we will also honor Davey Yarborough for his 40 plus years as an educator in the DC School system.
