Frank Emilio y Los Amigos, a band that’s been around in one form or another for 30 years, led by the blind pianist Frank Emilio Flynn, came to Alice Tully Hall on Thursday and Saturday nights for two Jazz at Lincoln Center concerts, and demonstrated the spread-out magic of this old music.
The trumpeter Alfredo (Chocolate) Armenteros played a trumpet duet with Wynton Marsalis on a mambo, followed by a trio performance on ‘‘I Can’t Get Started’‘ with only Mr. Marsalis, piano and bass.
