Accolades, music, dinner and dancing will fill Avery Fisher Hall at 7:30 tonight when Jazz at Lincoln Center pays tribute to the saxophonist, composer and band leader Benny Carter at its third annual benefit concert. Titled ‘‘With a Song in My Heart,’‘ the event, with Ed Bradley, the ‘‘60 Minutes’‘ correspondent, as host, will feature the singers Bobby Short and Diana Krall and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, led by Wynton Marsalis. Mr. Carter will receive the Jazz at Lincoln Center award for artistic excellence. The benefit supports the educational activities and programs of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
