We’re turning back the clock and puttin’ on the Ritz with Paul Whiteman’s lush orchestral jazz stylings. The LCJO with special guests, including singer Daryl Sherman, takes a fresh look at the legacy of a bandleader who provided the musical backdrop for the era’s dashing Gatsbys, and who primed audiences for musical giants such as Gershwin, Herbert, and Ellington. Relive the heady euphoria and gilded decadence that was the Jazz Age.
