Wynton Marsalis Wins Best Traditional Jazz Performance At The Soul Train Awards 2014 For “Flee As A Bird To The Mountain (Live)”

The Soul Train Awards 2014 – hosted by Wendy Williams – celebrate and honor R&B legends and soul music’s brightest new stars.
Showcasing the evolution of Soul Train’s impact on musical history from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and today, the new Soul Train Awards are about the marriage of music and dance.

Fellow nominees in the Best Traditional Jazz Performance category include: Gregory Porter “Hey Laura”; Audra McDonald “What a Little Moonlight Can Do”; Kenny Garret “Pushing the World Away”; and Monty Alexander “Concierto de Aranjuez”.

The SOUL TRAIN AWARDS 2014 aired on BET and Centric TV on Sunday, November 30, with an encore presentation on Monday, December 1, 2014.
