Jazz At Lincoln Center’s 30th Anniversary Gala

Gala concert features the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and guests Joey Alexander, Jon Batiste, Bill Charlap, Paquito D’Rivera, Jimmy Heath, Dianne Reeves, Marcus Roberts, Renee Rosnes

Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 2018 Gala commemorates the organization’s milestone 30th anniversary and celebrates individuals who support Jazz at Lincoln Center’s mission to entertain, enrich and expand a global community for jazz through performance, education, and advocacy.

Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 30th Anniversary Gala will bring together the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and today’s greatest living artists including Joey Alexander, Jon Batiste, Bill Charlap, Paquito D’Rivera, Jimmy Heath, Dianne Reeves, Marcus Roberts and Renee Rosnes for this one-night only benefit performance and dinner – one of the most highly regarded social events in the city –on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 7pm at Frederick P. Rose Hall, the “House of Swing,” located at Broadway at 60th Street, New York, New York.

Jazz at Lincoln Center will present the Ed Bradley Award for Leadership to Lisa and Dick Cashin who have been Patrons of the organization since 2003. Mr. Cashin has been a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Board of Directors since 2006 and has generously contributed to the organization’s mission.

On this special evening, the organization will bestow the Jazz at Lincoln Center Award for Artistic Excellence to NEA Jazz Master, Kennedy Center honoree and multi GRAMMY award-winning Tony Bennett in recognition of his artistry and commitment to strengthening the role of the arts in public high school education which he has supported through his non-profit, Exploring The Arts www.exploringthearts.org

Proceeds from the 2018 Gala will help enable the diverse education programs and resources produced by Jazz at Lincoln Center each year. Through its concerts, free webcasts, direct musical instruction and distribution of scores, Jazz at Lincoln Center reaches more than two million people, of all ages, around the world.

A limited number of concert-only tickets for $150 and $200 can be purchased on jazz.org 24 hours a day or by calling CenterCharge on 212-721-6500, open daily from 10am – 9pm. Tickets can also be purchased at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office, located on Broadway at 60th Street, ground floor. Box office hours are Monday- Saturday from 10am to 6pm (or 30 minutes past curtain) and Sunday from noon to 6pm (or 30 minutes past curtain).
