“Everybody Wear They Mask.” That’s the message of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s latest Jazz at Home single from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, recorded during quarantine. Composed by Marsalis and recorded at orchestra members’ homes in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Georgia, Texas, and Iowa, “Everybody Wear They Mask” is the band’s call for everyone to do their civic duty and use face coverings in public to prevent the spread of COVID-19. (And for stragglers, the song has a slightly more pointed message: “Why you gotta be like that??”)
