Wynton to record narration for Black Magic
Black Magic is a two-part, four-hour TV film by director Dan Klores, that highlights the lives of basketball players and coaches who attended historically black colleges and universities before and during the Civil Rights movement. Black Magic will air in two, 2 hour segments, and Wynton will be narrating one of these segments (other narrators include Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Paul )

Wynton nominated for MOBO Awards 2007

Wynton performed at the first Furman Jazz Fling
On Friday night, August 17, the rain could not stop the first annual Furman Jazz Fling to benefit Jazz at Lincoln Center, from going full swing! A who’s who on the Hampton’s scene joined hosts Victoria Moran Furman and Jay Furman (Jazz at Lincoln Center Board member) at their stunning Southampton home for a joyful event complete with a performance by Wynton.

Wynton and JALC honor Albert Murray
On June 3, 2007, Wynton with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Jazz at Lincoln Center will be hosting a reception for Albert Murray and honoring him with the 2007 W.E.B. Du Bois Medal, for outstanding contributions to African and African American culture awarded annually by the faculty of the Department of African and African American Studies at Harvard University.
