The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (JLCO) will present “Jazz for Young People” to our middle school audiences. This special, youth-focused concert is hosted by JLCO Music Director Wynton Marsalis, who will introduce key musical concepts and other jazz fundamentals. The JLCO, comprising 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today, will also perform a new work commissioned by the Lied Center honoring 15 KU basketball legends in a public concert on October 11, 2018.
