Wynton played and spoke live for NBC Nightly News
Yesterday night, Wynton played live from Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. He spoke with anchor Brian Williams for NBC Nightly News about the state of his hometown and the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans, on this, the second Mardi Gras since Hurricane Katrina. He closed the segment playing with Wycliffe Gordon on the trombone, Victor Goines on the clarinet, Carlos Henriquez on the bass, Ali Kackson on the drums.
