    On Saturday, March 10, Wynton was his quintet at CBS Studios to play some tracks from his new album: From the Plantation to the Penitentiary. In this video from the Early Show he played the tune “Supercapitalism” with Jennifer Sanon (voice), Walter Blanding Jr. (tenor sax), Dan Nimmer (piano), Carlos Henriquez (bass), Ali Jackson (drums).   • Wynton played and spoke live for NBC Nightly News

    Yesterday night, Wynton played live from Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. He spoke with anchor Brian Williams for NBC Nightly News about the state of his hometown and the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans, on this, the second Mardi Gras since Hurricane Katrina. He closed the segment playing with Wycliffe Gordon on the trombone, Victor Goines on the clarinet, Carlos Henriquez on the bass, Ali Kackson on the drums.
