    On January 8, 2001, Wynton was invited at the Charlie Rose Show for a discussion about the documentary “Jazz”, with filmmaker Ken Burns. Wynton served as a senior creative consultant for the film. The film, divided into a series of 10 episodes, tells the story of jazz music in America through individual musicians including Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Thelonious Monk.   • Wynton featured in a new song by Zachary Richard

    Last week, during the press conference at the 21st Festival International de Louisiane, Zachary Richard and Francis Cabrel showed a video (Quicktime needed) for their French hit song, La Promesse Cassée (The Broken Promise). Richard and Cabrel’s slow, mournful ballad, laced with the trumpet of Wynton, surrounds black-and-white images of solemn faces and shattered homes from hurricane-affected areas of south Louisiana.
