Wynton playing at Abbey Road Studios
On August 2 and 3, 2006, Wynton was in London to play at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club. On August 4, he and the band went to Abbey Road Studios and recorded a session for the show. On the Live from Abbey Road web site you can find info about the session, as well as photos and a video clip. The session will be broadcast in the UK on 23rd February on More 4 and Monday 26th February on Channel 4. Keep reading »

Date changed for Wynton Marsalis Quintet
There is one tour date that was changed a little while ago. On October 24 it is no longer the Mondavi Center in Davis, CA but the Napa Valley Opera House in Napa, CA. The band personnel is: Wynton Marsalis, trumpet; Walter Blanding, saxophones; Dan Nimmer, piano; Carlos Henriquez, bass; Ali Jackson, drums; (with Jennifer Sanon on vocals for all dates except 10/27 and 10/28) Please check the complete schedule in our Tour section, we have also added to links to each concert venue for more infos and tickets. On Tuesday 11, Wynton played with Paco de Lucia in Vitoria-Gasteiz. It has been a wonderful concert, with Wynton playing perfectly with the guitar of Paco de Lucia. Wynton will play with Paco De Lucia this summer in Vitoria
This year, the prestigious Vitoria Jazz Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary. On Tuesday 11 July, the audience of Mendizorroza Sports Hall will witness a worldwide premiere, a unique meeting between two geniuses that has been eagerly desired for some time. The guitar of Paco de Lucía will host Wynton Marsalis’ trumpet, as a special guest. It is an encounter between flamenco and jazz that is certain to offer some magic moments.
