  • New tour dates for Wynton and JLCO

    We have just updated our tour section with new dates. Wynton will tour with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra in USA performing Congo Square, and will be also in tour in Europe this summer, with dates in England, Germany, Belgium, Polland, Spain, etc… Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra personnel includes: Music director and trumpet: Wynton Marsalis; trumpets: Ryan Kisor, Sean Jones, Marcus Printup, James Zollar; trombones: Chris Crenshaw, Vincent Gardner, Elliot Mason; reeds: Walter Blanding, Victor Goines, Sherman Irby, Ted Nash, Joe Temperley; piano: Dan Nimmer; bass: Carlos Henriquez; drums: Ali Jackson.   • Date changed for Wynton Marsalis Quintet

    There is one tour date that was changed a little while ago. On October 24 it is no longer the Mondavi Center in Davis, CA but the Napa Valley Opera House in Napa, CA. The band personnel is: Wynton Marsalis, trumpet; Walter Blanding, saxophones; Dan Nimmer, piano; Carlos Henriquez, bass; Ali Jackson, drums; (with Jennifer Sanon on vocals for all dates except 10/27 and 10/28) Please check the complete schedule in our Tour section, we have also added to links to each concert venue for more infos and tickets.   Keep reading »

  • New tour dates for Wynton and LCJO

    The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, led by Wynton, will tour through the Midwest next month before traveling to Yokahama (Japan). The first leg of the band’s 2006 Jazz From Coast to Coast Tour will begin in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and include stops in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. From January 30 to February 4, the band will be in residence at Minato Mirai Hall in Yokahama, where it will perform and give master classes, workshops, and clinics.   • Wynton and LCJO tours Ellington’s Nutcracker

    Wynton and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra will tour the Eastern U.S. with a special repertoire for the 2005 holiday season. For the first half of the concerts, the big band will perform selections from Duke Ellington’s “The Nutcracker”. The second half of the evening will feature the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra drawing from an extensive repertoire that includes original compositions by Mr. Marsalis, Ted Nash and other members of the orchestra as well as the masterworks of Count Basie, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, and other great jazz composers.   • Wynton is going to play in São Paulo and Caracas

    The south American tour goes on and Wynton with the LCJO is now in Brasil. He will play in São Paulo, tomorrow June 19 at Parque Ibirapuera and on 20 and 21 in the Sala São Paulo. Then he will go with the band to Venezuela, to play in Caracas at Teatro Teresa Carreño. We’ll give you updated news and photos as soon as we receive them form Wynton’s tour manager in Brasil.
