    In the summer of 2008 multiple Grammy award winning jazz artist Wynton Marsalis and his quintet teamed-up with French accordionist Richard Galliano at the annual Jazz in Marciac festival in Southern France to pay tribute to the late jazz legends Billie Holiday and Edith Piaf.     Today, Wynton and his Quintet (Walter Blanding, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez, Ali Jackson) rehearsed together for the upcoming concert with Richard Galliano. Wynton wrote some nice arrangements (just wrote…) and tomorrow Mr. Galliano will come with his accordion to rehearse with the Quintet.   • Wynton to play in Marciac 2008 with his Septet, Quintet and Richard Galliano

    On August 8 and 13, 2008, Wynton will play at Marciac Jazz Festival with his Septet and Quintet. The first concert will be performed at the Chapiteau by his Septet: Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Roberts (to be confirmed), Reginald Veal, Herlin Riley, Wess Anderson, Wycliffe Gordon and Victor Goines. The second performance will take place on August 13 and will feature the Quintet: Wynton Marsalis, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez, Walter Blanding, Ali Jackson, with Richard Galliano.
