    On August 8, the Wynton Marsalis Septet performed for the concert at Marciac Jazz Festival, starting at 11 pm. Wynton, Wes Anderson, Marcus Roberts, Wycliffe Gordon, Reginald Veal and Victor Goines performed wonderfully on that night. The setlist was: Majesty of the Blues, Free to Be, And the Band Played On, Son, Spiritual Awakening, Green Chimneys, Superb Starling, Altar Call, Sunflowers. Encore: The Death of Jazz, Knozz-Moe-King, Happy Feet Blues. On August 7, Wynton also gave a master class for the new kids at Marciac College.   • Wynton to play in Marciac 2008 with his Septet, Quintet and Richard Galliano

    On August 8 and 13, 2008, Wynton will play at Marciac Jazz Festival with his Septet and Quintet. The first concert will be performed at the Chapiteau by his Septet: Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Roberts (to be confirmed), Reginald Veal, Herlin Riley, Wess Anderson, Wycliffe Gordon and Victor Goines. The second performance will take place on August 13 and will feature the Quintet: Wynton Marsalis, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez, Walter Blanding, Ali Jackson, with Richard Galliano.
