  • Wynton to play at Feinstein’s

    On June 12, 2007, Wynton will sit-in on a couple of numbers with Michael Feinstein at Feinstein’s. He will play: “I Got It Bad and That Ain’t Good” and “It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got that Swing”. In his return to his Park Avenue digs, Michael Feinstein combines a touching and heartfelt tribute to Bobby Short with his usual high-octane performance style. Both cabaret legends built careers on an enthusiastic dedication to entertaining the patrons, and “Celebrating Bobby Short” entertains while celebrating.     Tomorrow, June 5 2007, Wynton will perform at “A Midsummer Night’s Swing”, an event to support Anthony Foxx for re-election to the Charlotte City Council At-Large.   • Wynton will play at “Good Night, Alice” Gala

    On Monday, April 30, the lights go down in Alice Tully Hall for the last time this year. When they come up in late 2008 for Lincoln Center’s 50th anniversary season, the nearly 40-year-old hall will have a brand-new look. But, the musical mandate established by its founder will endure. To mark this transformation, there will be a gala concert on April 30, titled “Good Night, Alice,” that celebrates Alice Tully Hall’s remarkable past and illustrious future. The evening, which will raise funds for redevelopment efforts, honors the acclaimed broadcast journalist Tom Brokaw, who will also serve as master of ceremonies.…   Keep reading »

  • Wynton to perform Live at Feel The Beat: A Concert for CPR Awareness

  • Jude Law & Wynton Marsalis Team Up

    On 18 September 2006 in New Orleans, Jude Law will host a fundraising concert to benefit musicians afflicted by Hurricane Katrina. Other co-chairs for the event include Wynton and Doug Brinkley, NY Times best-selling author. The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra will be performing. Only 10 percent of musicians remain in New Orleans.
