The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis celebrates one of jazz’s great original geniuses: composer, Pulitzer Prize winner, and alto saxophonist Ornette Coleman (1930–2015). 2017 Grammy Award-winning composer, arranger, saxophonist, and bandleader Ted Nash serves as music director for the evening, utilizing the Orchestra’s many colors to bring this music to life. Set list for Summer tour 2007
Wynton is in Turkey tonight, for a two days performance at Instanbul Jazz Festival. Then he will go to Rotterdam for the North Sea Jazz Festival. On the 2007 European Tour, Wynton and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra are performing music from one of two repertoires: The Music of Ornette Coleman and Full Steam Ahead.
