Wynton played at September 11th Commemoration Ceremony

The New Yorl City’s September 11th commemoration ceremony officially started at 8:40 AM this morning.
At 10:29 AM Wynton performed “Down by the Riverside” and “Just a closer walk with Thee”, after a moment of silence (observance of time of fall of the North Tower).

  3. Moving indeed. His musical tribute was fitting in both honoring those who lost their lives and uplifting us on such a somber day. The memories of that day have remained with me and being there and seeing the aftermath is something I will never forget. Wynton’s soulful playing moved me to tears and made me smile, thankful I am still here.

  5. From what i caught he played, “Down by the Riverside”; “Just a Closer Walk With Thee” and…hmmm…my memory is failing but it was a moving medley.
