  1. Peace & blessings to all of the many Wynton Marsalis fans on the planet Earth. My name is Lady Dale and I am from Philadelphia, PA. I am an Educator by day and a Jazz vocalist in the evening. My co-worker and I had the distinct honor and privilege to meet and greet Mr. Marsalis at his September 2, 2008 book signing, at Barnes & Noble, in NYC. It was an enlightening experience for both of us. Sharing this wonderful celebration of the number one book in my view, “Moving to Higher Ground,” had an impact on me.

Jazz can change your life! I am a witness! I use Jazz in my classroom, I use Jazz in my personal life and I use Jazz in my professional life, as a singer. I read the book twice. Each time, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of completeness. My colleague expresses similar feelings. I now use the book as a reference guide, to help me develop as I go through the various stages of my life. Please support Mr. Marsalis by purchasing the book and bringing a friend to the event.

    Jazzically yours,
    Lady Dale
