  4. realmente é algo inacreditável ouvir o Wynton nos registros altos, além da técnica que não consigo assimilar do Arban. Mas ainda bem que o temos em vídeo para ver e ouvir. Obrigado Wynton

  5. Today social services would show up at the woodshed…these shed sayings are humorous,
like ‘not the sharpest tool in the shed!’…
am sure there are more out there applied to music.

  6. “Shed” comes from the old days when one would be locked in the woodshed (either by your parents or yourself) to practice, and practice, and practice, and… I think you get the idea. Today it is just a generic term for “practice your buns off”! I’m thinkin’ this is a concept Wynton (as well as the rest of the band) is acutely aware of.

  11. First time listening JALC Orchestra playing O.Coleman……..GREAT sound!. Wynton’s solo is incredible, amazing.

Let’s show it to those saying they’re only play old jazz/classic big band repertoire….and of being too conservative.

  12. To shed is to practice solo for a long time…
This is terrific! What is the name of this tune? Is it Kaleidoscope or Free…one of Ted Nash’s arrangements for the jazz orchestra? Thanks!
