Power: Accountability and Abuse
September 10-11, 2016 at Sanders Theatre, Harvard University
The event kicks off on Saturday evening (September 10) with a discussion and performance by world-renowned jazz pioneer Wynton Marsalis and his quintet, introduced by Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust. Marsalis will reflect on the themes raised by “Blood on the Fields,” his epic oratorio of one couple’s journey from slavery to freedom, and the first jazz composition to win the Pulitzer.
