Ellington’s Nutcracker Suite in Newark and Waterbury
On December 14 and 15, Wynton and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) will perform the Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn arrangment of Nutcraker Suite in Newark and Waterbury.

I had the opportunity to see Wynton and the band in Waterbury and it was amazing! The nutcracker suite was great, but I think the second half was even better. They did Wynton’s arrangement of “‘twas the night before Christmas,” which they hardly ever do in public, and pulled it off perfectly. Great show!
