A benefit production of Jazz ABZ

The Community Partnership for Protecting Children and Prevent Child Abuse – Catoosa present a benefit production of JAZZ A∙B∙Z, a musical revue based on the book by Wynton Marsalis.

In JAZZ A∙B∙Z, Marsalis harmonizes his love and knowledge of jazz’s most celebrated artists with an astounding diversity of poetic forms – from simple blues (Count Basie) to tender sonnet (Sarah Vaughan).
JAZZ A∙B∙Z features selections from Wynton Marsalis’ new book of poetry for children and adults interwoven with live performances of jazz standards made famous by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and many more. It is perfect for families introducing their children to jazz, longtime jazz aficionados, lovers of poetry, and anyone who appreciates good music.

The show is produced by the Hamilton Community Theatre and is directed by Randy Forester. Musical direction is provided by long-time jazz musician Robert Crabtree.
JAZZ A∙B∙Z is appropriate for all ages and is a great way to introduce your children (or yourself) to classic jazz music while helping to make children safe!
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 706-935-9000, ext. 100, or on-line at www.colonnadecenter.org

One performance only! Saturday, September 9, 8:00 PM at the Colonnade just 1.6 miles West of I-75 exit 350 — Battlefield Parkway.
