Wynton Marsalis Discussion Forum

In addition to Wynton’s classical premiere for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on November 6-7, 2008, a new work is slated for September.

The J@LCO performance at Michigan State’s Wharton Center on September 24, 2008 will include a debut of Wynton’s “piece inspired by Motown.” This program combines J@LCO and MSU College of Music Symphony Orchestra. Sounds interesting!

     

Wynton has a show scheduled for Nov 6-8 at the Rose.  What will that mean for the classical premier?

     

There must some kind of astrological alignment on Nov 6.  Our local station was thinking of Wynton for a show they are having on that day as well….
