Greetings all!

 

Done loads and loads of research on this and am just trying to get some peoples thoughts or opinions.

 

Supposedly Mr. Ellington,  Armstrong,  and Basie were all Freemasons.

 

Now besides all the conspiracy mason stuff,  I am interested in the real deal.

 

I find it somewhat interesting because to my knowledge Black americans are only allowed into the Prince Hall rite of masonry. 

 

Now why would some brilliant,  one of a kind brothers get into something of this sort?

 

Oh,  and is Mr. Marsalis one?
