Dixieland Digs Ornette

A traditional Dixieland jazz band led, in a surprising turn by avant-garde trombonist Roswell Rudd, performs Dixieland Digs Ornette. Highlighting the threads that run through the history of jazz, saxophonist Ornette Coleman’s post-bebop innovations, including group improvisation and an abandonment of song form, are re-interpreted through the lens of the Dixieland style.
The traditional Dixieland jazz band features: E. Dankworth (a.k.a Wynton Marsalis), trumpet; Roswell Rudd, trombone; Ken Peplowski, saxophone; Greg Cohen, bass and others.
Single tickets are $30. Merkin Concert Hall is located at 129 West 67th

I am in NYC quite often and would love to know how I can find out about where and when Wynton is playing locally. I have only seen him perform once and would love to hear him again. Classical or jazz, doesn’t matter.
