I’m not sure Monette made a cornet back then.
but why did he not have a monette mouthpeice i don’t think it would of made a difference because he still hit notes so high that dogs can only hear
Dave Monette did not make cornets back then. He wasnt even making entire trumpets yet, back then.
Yeh but this was a Bach cornet thats not really a tradional cornet and also a deep funnel cup it is very hard to reach notes that are really hgh like wynton played.
He only hits a G above high C-it’s high, but certainly not out of the ordinary for a proffessinal trumpet player.
but what about indurance.
It’s Wynton c’mon, he’s got endurance on about anything. Maybe he could only play for 5 hours intead of 6-lol-‘sides rim thickness and bite have to do with endurace, cup shape determines brightness vs. darkness in sound.
