I bought a trumpet from an antique store for $200 in Eureka Springs, AR. It was previously owned by the store’s father. She said he bought it at another antique store in Chicago 50 years ago. It’s silver, and it plays, but I can’t find anything on it. My wife tells me that the buttons are Mother of Pearl, and she was in jewelry for 14 years, so I tend to trust her on that. The valve casings are octagonal in shape. The brand name is Vickars, and it has Alsia engraved on the bell. The only thing I can find that comes close is one picture on the internet of a Vickars Octagon trumpet. Anything or anyone you can find that can either get me more information or point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
