Wynton Marsalis Discussion Forum

I have recently stopped wearing my retainer because it was severely effecting my trumpet playing. Once I stopped wearing it my playing improved just in time for my college auditions and senior recital. But every few weeks my range will decrease and I will have no endurance. This usually last from a few days up to 2 weeks. I’m worried this will hurt me college since I will be on a Jazz scholarship. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to stop this from happening.
