Since the brick and morter CD shops—what used to be called records stores—have all gone belly up and those retail outlets that remain in business, i.e., Borders et al don’t seem to stock much anymore, I was forced to resort to the Internet to make my latest purchase from Borders.com.  I bought pianist Rick Germanson’s lastest disc “Off the Cuff”, which, of course, is not stocked in the store. 

Borders has a deal where you can have your purchases sent directly to the store and you don’t have to pay postage.  Germanson, who isn’t as well known as he should be, has recorded several CDs and one high profile gig he has is with Louis Hayes’ Cannonball Adderley band.
